Herschel TrioThursday 22 January 2015, 8pm at the Radlett Centre
‘Writers, artists and aristocrats’
A glimpse into the private musical life of the wealthy amateur musicians in Georgian England, presented on period instruments. |
The trio specializes in eighteenth century chamber repertoire from across Europe played on period instruments. Formed in 2012 they are all well-established exponents of baroque music, and take their name from the well-known astronomer William Herschel (1738-1822), who was also an oboist in the Hanover Military Band. The trio consists of Graham O’Sullivan, baroque flute and recorder; Susanna Pell, viola da gamba; and Mie Hyashi-O’Sullivan, harpsichord.
